There are many things to do in Dresden, and the over 10 million tourists that visit the city annually attest to this fact. Old town is a popular Dresden neighborhood with the locals and is home to many interesting museums. The Semper Opera House is internationally known and makes a wonderful location to visit for admirers of Opera, history, and architecture alike. Car parking - car hire in Dresden

The streets of Dresden are quite good and many of them have been recently repaved to better accommodate car traffic. As as many older European cities Dresden was not particularly built with the automobile in mind, however has since updated its streets to accommodate the increased demand for cars. Car parking in Dresden is largely handled by large parking lots and a smattering of free parking spaces. An intuitive system of electronic signs are posted throughout the city center to alert drivers where they may find open parking. Instead of deciding to car hire in Dresden choosing one of the alternative public transportation methods will save you money and offer a great way to see the city. Dresden offers a combined transportation system of trams buses and trains. Nearly all points of the city are connected to the system, and rates are generally very low. In fact to save additional money people are encouraged to buy day passes to the transportation system that allow them to use any public transit available.

Dresden hotel - Dresden restaurant

Students traveling to Dresden may want to avoid staining dressing hotels and staying at various youth hostels in order to save a little money. Otherwise for the rest of the tourists there are numerous local and international hotel chains available that cover a wide variety of budgets. Finding a Dresden restaurant can be a very interesting experience. Restaurants in the historic center are considered to be overpriced and offer a mediocre quality of food, although they do cater to a wide variety of different tastes. Eastern Dresden offers many different cafés that serve good quality cheap though simple food. Naturally tourists should expect to find lots of German food while vacationing in Dresden, although surprisingly there is a strong Italian influence in many of the restaurants.
