Carl-Maria-von-Weber Museum

Both the composer and his wife discovered a winery, an example of typical housings in the countryside while taking a walk back in springtime 1818. In the warmer seasons of the fallowing years to come, from 1822 to 1824, him and his family found an inspiring refuge here. The operas "Der Freischütz", „Euryanthe" and „Oberon" as well as „Aufforderung zum Tanz" were written within these walls.
150 years after Weber's death , in 1976, the museum was renovated and has become a centre of musical happenings.
