This church is the Dresden's main evangelic church. The first Lutheran church service was held here 1539. Today it is also an important spiritual and musical centre. For 800 years it has been home to the “Dresden Kreuz- choir”. This internationally renown boys choir still practices the spiritual choir symphonic works as well as A- cappella singing. The Jehmlich- Organ is also a musical spectacle worth attending when in concert.
