For 150 years this house has been a reminder of Friedrich Schiller and his relationship to Dresden. The smallest museum in town is one the most extravagant examples of cultural- political engagement of Dresden's citizenship.
The new exhibition in the “Schillerhäuschen” displays documents, pictures and handwritings which expose Schiller's work as he lived in Dresden and his friendships in the “Körner- Kreis”. The most imposing object is the Schillerhouse itself, even though up to now it is not definitely proven if the poet himself ever set foot in it.
