Train Museum

Many know Dresden to be mainly a city of baroque extravagance and noble cultural facilities and buildings. The well visited train museum, “Eisenbahnmuseum”, regularly heats up the old steam train's oven to take her out for a spin. It's the “Dampflock 89 6009”. Dresden is also home to some of the biggest collections of old traffic machinery in the world such as the historic museum of public transportation withholding ships which built the greatest paddle- steamer fleet ever.
